Diocesan Agencies

CCD has developed links with a number of Diocesan organizations. It is hoped that these relationships will be mutually beneficial. Ongoing discussions have been held with the following agencies of the Church:

• The Catholic Education Office
• CatholicCare
• Catholic Mission

It is hoped that further links can be made with other Diocesan agencies.

Other Organisations

CCRESS - The Catholic Conference of Religious Educators in State Schools.
CCRESS is the NSW CCD Diocesan Leaders' group. CCRESS meets twice per year in different Dioceses. These two-day meetings include time for professional development or spirituality opportunities. Meeting time also occurs to discuss items of mutual need and importance.

NCCD - National Confraternity of Christian Doctrine
NCCD is the national body representing most state CCD organizations. A national CCD conference is held every second year. The agenda consists of professional development and meeting time.

ICCOREIS - Inter-Church Commission on Religious Educators In Schools
As the name suggests, ICCOREIS is an inter-church body that provides advice, advocacy and professional development services to member churches that teach Special Religious Education in government schools. ICCOREIS is also the organization that meets regularly, on behalf of its member churches, with the Department of Education and Training.
